Strangeways radio specializes in bringing alternative radio back to it's roots while focusing on the genres of Brit pop, trip hop, dreampop, shoegaze, darkwave, electronica and alternative classics. The Strangeways Radio Android application streams the music that Strangeways broadcasts 24/7. The application shows you what is currently playing along with the album cover art and lyrics (when available). The application also shows you the history of the last 10 songs that have played, as well as a preview of whats coming up next. Songs can also be tagged during playback. This useful if you hear a song while you are driving that you want to look up when you get home.Strangeways features the music of legendary bands such as The Smiths, Cure, Depeche Mode, New Order, Cocteau Twins, Portishead, The Stone Roses, Echo & The Bunneymen, Joy Division and lots more. Plus, we play all of the best up and coming artists in similar genres!Future versions of the app will allow you to view the schedule of shows, and make requests!NOTE: Certain android phones are having trouble playing the stream.
